The Tree Fund

Start an appeal

One reply is the whole instruction.

Reply to a charity's emergency appeal on X with @TreeDotFund. Every appeal runs for the same 6 hours, so there is nothing else to choose.

This opens X with the reply written for you. Nothing is posted until you press Post there.

  1. 1

    Find a charity's emergency appeal on X. It must be the charity's own post, the first one in the thread.

  2. 2

    Reply to it with @TreeDotFund. That is the whole instruction — no amount, no duration, no form.

  3. 3

    Once we've checked the charity, the appeal joins the queue and grows here for 6 hours, taking every trading fee the token earns while it's live.

Human Appeal USA

Emergency appeal: families cut off by flooding need clean water tonight.

Your reply

@TreeDotFund

This is all you need to write.

Three worked examples

Charity's own post

“Floods have cut off three villages. We're sending water and blankets tonight.”

@TreeDotFund

Received. Charity already on our list → joins the queue, starts within a minute if nothing is running.

Charity's own post

“Emergency appeal: our shelter lost power in the storm.”

@TreeDotFund this one please 🙏

Received. New charity → held for review, then queued.

A reply deep in a thread

“Thank you everyone for the support!”

@TreeDotFund

Ignored — not the first post in the thread. Reply to the original appeal instead.

Verification rules

Counts

  • The charity's own post.
  • The first post in a thread.
  • A quote-post of that post.
  • Any extra words in your reply (“@TreeDotFund please fund this”, “@TreeDotFund 🙏”) — we only look for the handle.

Exclusions

Doesn't count

  • Replies further down a thread.
  • Posts by supporters or news accounts about a charity.
  • Tagging @TreeDotFund on its own with nothing to reply to.
  • A second tag under an appeal that already has a fundraiser (we'll point you to the existing one).

Whoever starts the appeal is credited on its page. The money only ever goes to the charity.
